Meet Your Trainer

Rebekah Hudson and her dog, Astrid, in front of a rock cliff at Clifty Falls State Park.

I am Rebekah Hudson.  I am a Fear Free certified veterinary technician.  I moved to Indiana from Oregon in 2023.  In Oregon, my dog Astrid and I assisted Nakama Dog Training with the training of reactive dogs.  I moved to Lafayette to work at Purdue as a veterinary technician. I am starting Wandering Paws as a side business, so all classes will be held on weekday evenings and weekends.

I adopt and rehabilitate behaviorally challenged dogs and enjoy sharing my love of hiking with dogs.  This can be a great outlet for our dogs physical and mental stimulation.  My goal with Wandering Paws Academy is to help more dogs and their owners enjoy exploring nature safely.

I will guide you in using humane training methods to help teach your dog skills and I will teach you easy ways to manage your dog for when you encounter situations that your dog finds difficult.  We will use treats, toys, and your dog's natural desires to shape their behavior.
